Carson Equipment Hire – Dry Hire Agreement

By hiring equipment from Carson Equipment Hire, you (the Hirer) agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your booking.
1. Hire Overview
All equipment is hired on a dry hire basis – this means no operator is supplied.
The Hirer is responsible for operating the equipment safely and returning it in the same condition it was received.
2. Eligibility
The Hirer must be 18 years or older.
A valid driver’s licence and a suitable towing vehicle are required to collect equipment.
No special machinery licence is required, but basic understanding of equipment operation is essential.
3. Booking & Payment
Bookings can be made by phone, email or online.
Full payment is required before equipment is released.
Day rates apply and will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to receive a refund.
4. Collection & Return
Pickup is from Karalee, QLD at an agreed time.
Equipment must be returned by the agreed time to avoid late fees.
Late returns may incur additional daily charges.
5. Condition of Equipment
All equipment is serviced, clean, and fuelled before pickup.
The Hirer agrees to return the equipment in clean and undamaged condition, with the fuel tank refilled.
Cleaning or repair charges may apply if the equipment is returned excessively dirty or damaged.
6. Damage, Loss & Liability
The Hirer is liable for any damage, loss, or theft of the equipment during the hire period.
The Hirer must notify Carson Equipment Hire immediately if any issues occur.
The Hirer uses the equipment at their own risk. Carson Equipment Hire is not liable for any injury, property damage, or third-party claims arising from use of the equipment.
7. Safe Use
Equipment must only be used for its intended purpose.
The Hirer must not operate the equipment under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The Hirer is responsible for ensuring the site is safe for operation.
8. Insurance
Carson Equipment Hire does provide limited insurance for the Hirer’s use of the equipment.
9. Right to Refuse Hire
Carson Equipment Hire reserves the right to refuse hire or cancel a booking at any time if we believe the equipment may be misused or not returned safely.
